1. Payment Terms

To begin any project, a 50% advance payment is required before development work starts. This advance confirms the booking and covers initial design and setup work. The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion of the project, before final files are handed over or the site is made live on the client's hosting.

For larger web application projects, payment may be split into milestone stages, which will be agreed in writing before work begins.

2. Project Scope

Each project is quoted based on the requirements discussed during the initial consultation. Any request that falls outside the agreed scope — additional pages, new features, or a significant design change — will be quoted separately and may affect the project timeline.

3. Revisions

Each package includes a reasonable number of design revisions during development, agreed at the start of the project. Revisions requested after final approval and handover are treated as new work and billed accordingly.

4. Delivery & Timeline

Estimated delivery timelines are provided at the start of each project. Timelines depend on the client providing requested content, feedback and approvals promptly — delays on the client's side may extend the delivery date accordingly.

5. Cancellation

If a project is cancelled after the advance payment has been made and work has started, the advance is non-refundable, as it covers time already spent on planning and development. Any additional milestone payments made for completed stages of work are also non-refundable.

6. Ownership & Usage

Once the final balance is paid in full, ownership of the completed website and its source code transfers to the client. Until the final payment is received, all design and development work remains the property of Hk Coder Lab.

7. Liability

Hk Coder Lab is not responsible for losses resulting from third-party services such as hosting providers, domain registrars or payment gateways used with the delivered website. Every effort is made to test and deliver a fully functioning site before handover.
